State Director’s Message

 

Hello, New Jersey Good Sam!  New Jersey has so much to offer.  If you want to visit Victorian homes, tube down the Delaware River, go whale watching, walk on the boardwalk or sun on the beach, play in a casino, see pro football or hockey, go shopping, paddle in the pines looking for the Jersey Devil, climb a lighthouse or go camping, New Jersey has all that and more.  There are plenty of campgrounds throughout the state for our Good Sam campers to visit and enjoy.

 

The highlight of New Jersey Good Sam is our annual gathering called a Rally.  Our theme for 2017 is ''Oktoberfest".  The dates for the Rally are October 6-8, with an early bird day of October 5, at Cape May KOA Campground, Cape May, NJ.   Please *NOTE:  Lake Laurie is now a KOA campground and there is a big Yellow KOA sign out near the entrance off Route 9.  We hope you can join us for a weekend of fun and activities with family and friends.  The registration form link is located above.  Come join the adventure with us.

A Camping Experience for Family and Friends

Early Bird Thursday, October 5th

Theme: "OKTOBERFEST"

PLACE/DIRECTIONS:  Cape May KOA RV Resort and Campground, 669 Route 9, Cape May, NJ 08204.  Go to the end of the Garden State Parkway, get on Route 9 North, campground is on right before the light at Tabernacle Road. (Campground Phone 609-224-1336)

EARLY BIRD PARKING: Parking begins Thursday at 10 AM. Pot Luck Dinner Thursday @ 6PM 

REGULAR PARKING: Parking begins 9 AM until 5 PM Friday  Pancake Supper/bring utensils, plates, cups, etc. 

All sites – Water and Electric     Limited Sewer sites (register early)

                                  Dump Station/Honey Wagon available (Courtesy of the campground)

Tent Sites Available - TENTERS WELCOME                        

HANDICAPPED PARKING: Spaces limited, ID required

HOBO PARKING: Arrive together to park together

DINNER:  Thursday is our annual Pot Luck dinner - bring food and a dessert to share

                Friday is a Pancake Supper/Bring your own utensils, plates, napkins, etc.

               Saturday is our "Oktoberfest" Dinner/Cold drinks/Hot drinks available             

BREAKFAST: Coffee and Doughnuts Friday & Saturday/Coffee and Bagels on Sunday

Registration Fee includes games and activities, Game sheets to stimulate your mind, a welcome bag, puzzles, Continental breakfast Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Ice Cream Social, Hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate, lemonade, ice tea, two nights of entertainment, and unlimited fun and fellowship.
